Anthropologie is one of my favorite stores but because its stylish clothes are so pricey, I only shop there once a year. (Okay, maybe twice. It’s kind of like Nordstrom. If I enter the store, I will find something way over budget and convince myself to buy it.) But shopping at Anthropologie doesn’t have to be expensive. Here’s how I got an amazing deal.
1. Sign up for the Anthro card, which tracks your purchases so if you lose a receipt, the store can retrieve the price you paid. Friends and family can put a digital receipt on your card, too, if they buy you a gift.
2. Register your birthday as part of the Anthro card sign up process.
3. Tick tock tick tock. Is it your birthday month? Look for a card in the mail from Anthropologie with a 15% off coupon. It is good for your entire birthday month but is only valid on one purchase so use it wisely!
4. Shop the sale racks and discounted home goods before you venture to the full-price areas of the store.
Using these tactics, a return credit for a Christmas gift, I scored a beautiful aqua-emerald sweater for $70 (orig. $128), a retro orange and red apron ($32), and eight colorful breakfast bowls, see above, for $1.95 (orig. $5). On top of that, everything was 15% off! For a bill that started at $217.56, I paid just $20.95, including tax. Hot dang!
If your birthday is approaching make sure you sign up for all the birthday freebies that are out there.
